Above Money — home

“He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much.”

Luke 16:10 · World English Bible

Be faithful with a little. We’ll help with the plan.

Above Money is a budget and debt payoff app made for Christians. Link your bank. See your whole month, your debt-free date, and room to give.

  • From $3 a month
  • It can read your bank. It can never move your money.

Home, drawn from the real screen with an invented family’s numbers.

What it does

The things you will use every week.

Every plan gets every feature.

A real month when your last debt is paid.

Not a guess. A date built from your real balances, rates and payments. It moves as your balances move.

A first budget, filled in from what you really spent.

Your first month is suggested from your real bills and spending. Income, Spending, Saving and Debt sit on one page, so they always agree. Giving comes first.

See next month before it comes.

Every paycheck and bill you have scheduled, on one line. See the lowest point before you get there. From 2 weeks to 12 months ahead.

One plan. Both of you.

Invite your Spouse. They get their own login and see the same money. You choose Full Edit or Read Only.

Every win, kept.

Each debt you pay in full and each savings goal you reach goes in your Trophy Case. On a hard month, look back.

Each morning starts with a verse.

366 verses from the World English Bible, one a day, always shown in full. On Home, and in your morning email if you want one.

How it works

Three steps.

  1. Step 1: Link your bank.

Sign in to your bank through Plaid. About your last 90 days come in. New charges show up on their own.

No bank link? Add a manual account. Those are free, with no limit.

  2. Step 2: Set your plan.

Your first budget is filled in from what you really spent. Pick a payoff order for your debts. Save it, and your debt-free date follows.

Try ideas freely. Only the plan you save counts.

  3. Step 3: Live the month.

Each morning, Home shows a verse, your balances, your Budget Health and what is coming. Over on a line? Fix it right there.

Fixes move budget amounts inside Above Money. Nothing goes to the bank.

Giving first

Your plan starts with Giving.

The first slice of your planned income is Giving. It stays first in your Year in review, too.

Getting free of debt is not about getting rich. It is about being available: to give, to serve, to say yes.

Why the order matters

The math, shown openly

Four ways to pay it off. Side by side.

Same debts, same $150 extra a month. Pick the order that fits your family. Save it, and your debt-free date follows.

Minimums onlyJust the minimum on each debt, for comparison.November 206033 years, 7 months$29,155

This is an example, worked out by the same math the app uses. The sample family has 5 debts: $30,167 in all, at 5.5% to 29.99%. Their minimums are $722 a month. They add $150 extra a month, plus the $96 minimum of a debt they already paid in full. Your numbers will differ. It is a plan, not a promise.

Trust

What it can and cannot do with your accounts.

Plain promises, written the way we would want them written to us.

It can only read.

It sees your balances and bank charges. It cannot move money, pay a bill or send a payment. That code does not exist.

We never see your password.

You sign in to your bank through Plaid. The key it hands back is locked (encrypted) before we store it.

No ads. No selling your data.

Plans cost a few dollars a month. That is the whole business. Nobody else is the customer.

You can leave whenever.

Delete your account and everything in it yourself, from Settings. No email. No waiting. If your Spouse is on it or invited, remove them first.

Read exactly how your bank connection works →

Also true: a second code when you log in, from an app or by email, once you turn it on. Log in with Face ID or a passkey. You are logged out after a while away, and you choose how long. Your Spouse’s access is locked by the database, not just the screen.

Not yet. We say what we do not do, so you can believe what we say we do.

  • No outside security audit yet (no SOC 2).
  • No backup codes for two-factor sign-in yet.
  • No download of your whole transaction history yet. Reports and the payoff schedule save as spreadsheet files (CSV).

“Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.”
